What's included?

- Filing fee calculation: If your court charges a filing fee, we calculate it and add it at checkout. You may qualify to pay no fee if your court allows it.
- Filing: We file your Answer with the court and send a copy to the attorney who is suing you. You don't have to mail anything.
- Status updates: You can track your Answer's progress from your dashboard as it goes to the court and the other side.
- Guarantee: Your Answer is 100% guaranteed to be filed with the court, or your money back.
What's not included?
Standard does not include attorney review. If you want a licensed attorney to check your Answer before it's filed, choose Premium ($247). Our attorneys catch errors in about 40% of the documents they review.
How does it work?
- Upload your court papers or enter your details. Upload your Summons and Complaint and we'll fill in your lawsuit details, or enter them yourself.
- Confirm your lawsuit details: your state, court, the law firm suing you, the plaintiff, and the amount you're being sued for.
- Choose Standard and pay. Any court filing fee is shown at checkout.
- We prepare and file your Answer. We may contact you if we need anything else, such as a copy of your court papers.
How long does it take?
Standard filings take 1–8 days on average, counted from when you finish your Answer and we have your case documents. Most orders are filed by mail.
What happens after it's filed?
You'll see the update on your dashboard. Many collectors drop the case after they receive a response. If you'd like to resolve the debt, you can also settle it through Solo.
